TDMS: Monitoring and Reporting App for Indian Railways
TDMS is a mobile application developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems specifically for internal users of the Traction directorates of Indian Railways. This app aims to provide a comprehensive set of features for monitoring and reporting various aspects of railway operations.
The app offers a dashboard that allows users to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) of OHE, PSI, RCC, TPC, and Tower Wagon applications. It also provides access to various management information system (MIS) reports related to TDMS of OHE, PSI, RCC, TPC, and Tower Wagon applications.
One of the standout features of TDMS is the GPS-based foot patrolling, which enables real-time capturing of OHE defects and the provision of taking photographs. It also allows for GPS-based real-time logging of maintenance of traction assets at different locations.
Additionally, the app allows users to requisition OHE power block and alert the TPC through SMS. It also enables GPS-based real-time reporting of breakdowns along with photographs.
TDMS also offers the automatic generation of one-page reports with a forwarding feature at each hierarchical level, making it easier for users to share important information.
Furthermore, the app facilitates GPS-based real-time entry of Tower Wagon driver daily logbook and provides accessibility to all resources and circulars of Railway Board, RDSO, IRIEEN, Zonal/Divisional, and CRIS.
Lastly, TDMS allows users to provide feedback to the CRIS development team, along with photographs, ensuring continuous improvement and enhancement of the app.
